Charlotte Mason Northwest's Nourished Life Retreat
Charlotte Mason Northwest (CMNW) is proud to bring another "Nourished Life Retreat” (NLR) to the Pacific Northwest; a weekend of connection, encouragement, and equipping for CM homeschool families. We hope you will come away more nourished with Christ, life-giving ideas, and rich relationships. The theme for our 2026 fall retreat is "Mosaic: A Thousand Precious Stones.” A Charlotte Mason education is like a carefully laid mosaic, breathtaking and detailed when you step back to see the big picture. What are the little stones that we faithfully piece together to build this picture with our children? Join us for a weekend to explore the creation of this mosaic with seasoned Charlotte Mason educators leading discussions, encouragement, and plenty of workshops on the practicality of what “this really looks like.” You won’t want to miss this time of encouragement and learning as we continue to lay the mosaic of our own education together.

Please register your spouse and/or teen as a separate transaction. There are no discounts for spouses or teens. Prices for this retreat have already been filed down to at or below actual costs. We are doing everything we can to accommodate the needs of our community during financially hard times and we hope that you're able to find an option that fits with your family's situation. There are sometimes special funds (contributed by your fellow attendees) for those who have just faced an extreme hardship. Details on this fund are below.
Canby Grove Retreat Center can accommodate some dietary restrictions. However, they charge our team $5 extra per person for every meal that requires special dietary preparation. To keep our registration costs low, we are asking that you only select items that you are allergic to, rather than preferences. If you have a dietary restriction that is not listed below, you may need to bring your own meals or meal supplements. In this case, please contact CMNW at [email protected] before completing your registration to ensure that you will be properly cared for during this retreat.
Give towards scholarships?
Some parents in our CM community can't attend this retreat because they are struggling financially due to layoffs, medical and other hardships. If the Lord has blessed you with an abundance, consider helping another home educator to attend as well. Because we are not a non-profit, your gift won't be tax-deductible; but it will still make an impact. CMNW offers partial scholarships based on the amount donated by other attendees. Thank you for supporting our community in this way.
Financial Hardship Scholarship Request:
If you have experienced financial hardship and need a partial scholarship in order to attend this retreat, please email us at [email protected] to let us know about your specific situation and request a scholarship discount. Amount and number of scholarships will be dependent on funds available.
We have worked hard to make many price options available in order to meet the financial needs of a variety of families. You are welcome to arrange your own alternative housing with a friend, family, hotel, or group home rental (BNB equivalent) to keep your own costs lower. We hope this is a blessing for you. PLEASE contact us if your financial situation still needs a scholarship in order to attend. It is our joy (and the joy of many in our community) to make a way for you to attend in the face of your hardships.
As a final way to alleviate financial pressure for families that need it, we are offering a two-payment option. At the time of your registration, you can pay a 50% non-refundable deposit. Then upon your arrival at the retreat in November, you would pay the remaining 50% in cash or check.
In order to use this unique payment method, please email us BEFORE completing this transaction at [email protected] and title your email "Canby Retreat Two-Payment Option". We can then respond with the payment code and ensure that you understand all aspects of this process. Note: using this two-payment method removes your ability to use any other discount code.
If for any reason I cancel this registration after payment is processed, I will be refunded (less the $20 registration fee) only if it is before October 23rd (two weeks before the event start date). On or after October 23rd, I will be refunded (less the $20 registration fee) ONLY if my spot is filled. NOTE: if using the "50% deposit" method of payment, NO REFUND will be given regardless of when you cancel.
